Inspected desilting work at Sunehri Nala, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta Tuesday said decades-old waterlogging problems in colonies along the drain were being addressed, with 50,000 metric tonnes of silt planned to be removed from the 1-km stretch. About 14,000 metric tonnes has been cleared so far, officials said.

The desilting work, being carried out by DMRC, is to be completed before the monsoon. Gupta also reviewed the Barapullah Phase III corridor connecting Sarai Kale Khan with Mayur Vihar I.
