A sessions court on Tuesday granted bail to self-proclaimed miracle scientist Munir Khan who was arrested on charges of cheating. Khan had moved the sessions court on the ground that the police have filed a chargesheet against him in an offence that was triable before the magistrate court. Munir Khans passport is with the police and a chargesheet has already been filed in the case. He was granted bail on a surety amount of Rs 50,000, confirmed Special Public Prosecutor R V Kini. Khan was wanted for cheating and selling the medicine Body Revival which he claimed could cure all diseases including cancer. He surrendered on May 12.
