Metro 11 alignment set for revision to make it feasible for commuters

THE PROPOSED Mumbai Metro 11(CSMT, GPO to Wadala) alignment will be revised, making it more feasible for commuters and also profitable, said Ashwini Bhide IAS, Managing Director of the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC).

The Metro was recently handed over to MMRC from MMRDA by the state government since this line is underground and MMRC has expertise in that as it is already constructing Metro 3 line (Colaba-SEEPZ), the city’s first underground line.

Bhide said that Metro 11 alignment will be revised while the end-to-end point CSMT, GPO to Wadala will remain as it is. A proposal has been sent in this regard, as per the MMRC.
