A 25-YEAR-OLD man was allegedly murdered by his younger brother after an argument Saturday. The accused told Mulund police the deceased used to harass him and their father for money. Police said the deceased,Uday Yadav,stayed with his father and two younger brothers near Jawahar Theatre in Mulund. Uday was unemployed and would demand money from his father Hiralal as well as his brothers,Vinay and Abhay. When they refused,he would often assault them,police said. On Saturday night,Vinay returned home from work and got into a fight with Uday. Uday slapped Vinay,who ran to the kitchen,came with a knife and stabbed Uday in the chest and stomach, said an officer. Later,Abhay returned home from work and saw Uday lying in a pool of blood. Vinay was sitting in a corner of the room. Abhay raised an alarm and neighbours gathered. One of them alerted the police. Vinay was taken into custody and Udays body was sent to Rajawadi Hospital for post-mortem. Vinay has confessed to the crime, the officer added.
