Man found dead in apartment

A 32-year-old man was found dead in his apartment in Worli Koliwada on Friday evening.

A 32-year-old man was found dead in his apartment in Worli Koliwada on Friday evening. Police suspect that the man,Tushar Barot,committed suicide.

Barot’s wife had gone to their native village in Gujarat and returned on Friday. She opened the door and saw Barot lying on the ground. He was rushed to hospital,but was declared dead on arrival, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 5) Dhananjay Kulkarni.

Investigations by the police revealed that Barot may have killed himself two days ago. The body was bloated and from the level of decomposition,we suspect he killed himself at least two days ago. We have learnt that the family was going through severe financial crisis and suspect Barot may have taken the step because of their financial problems, said senior police inspector Prakash Patil of Dadar Police. Barot is survived by his wife and an 11-year-old daughter. No suicide note was found,said Patil. An accidental death report has been registered.
