Fashionistas found themselves immersed in Rohit Bal’s favourite motif,the lotus,on the final day of the fifth Aamby Valley India Bridal Fashion Week. The collection,called Mulmul,was a throwback to India’s rich history in fashion — vintage kasab,Kashmiri work on muslin,Shibori for Chanderi. Voiles were a part of the show as were Victorian collars and corsets. The muslin corsets were the showstopper,paired with jewel tones and maroon velvet. Abhishek Bachchan made a friendly appearance after the show,to laud Bal’s work.
