multiplexes-Warner Bros dispute over Harry Potter movies release ends >
Harry Potter fans rejoice. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2,the action-filled final installment of the long-running film franchise,will release on Friday at multiplexes across India. We are thrilled that on Friday in partnership with every one of our cinema partners across India,well be releasing The Deathly Hallows Part 2, said Denzil Dias,Deputy Managing Director (Theatrical),Warner Bros Pictures,India. With this,Potters Indian fans will be able to watch the final showdown between the young wizard and evil Lord Voldermort at their favourite multiplexes.
This confirmation came on Thursday evening after much speculation over the movies release.
Earlier,a spat between Warner Bros and the multiplex owners over revenue-sharing had prevented the latter from opening the advanced booking counters for the movie. In fact,an exclusive premiere of the movie at PVR Phoenix on Thursday at 11pm was cancelled. Till late Thursday evening,only single screen cinemas had opened advance bookings for the movie on Book My Show,the online ticketing portal.
