It may have been our grandmums’ favourite handbag label,but Bolognese fashion house Furla is determined to get younger and hipper with its first store in India at Mumbai’s Palladium Mall. Hosted by Italian Consul General Giampaolo Cutillo and his wife Elisabetta,and Genesis Luxury MD Sanjay Kapoor and Furla CEO Eraldo Poletto,the evening saw some of the finest names in the city’s soiree crowd show up at the mall’s velvet-roped lobby. Actors Gul Panag,Shahzan Padamsee and Amrita Puri were felicitated with Furla’s new Candy bag. While Farah Khan Ali,Laila Khan Furniturewala,Arti Surendrenath,Princess Diya of Jaipur and filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor cheered,the evening also marked a foray of Delhi socialite Soni Aggarwal to Mumbai evenings.
