The 2009 Ceat Cricket Awards witnessed a mélange of cricket and glamour. Gautam Gambhir was the star,winning two awards — International Cricketer of the Year and Test Batsman of the Year,presented to him by a favourite of the boys—Mallika Sherawat. Gautam’s friend and colleague Virender Sehwag too was presented the ODI Cricketer of the Year award at the event which was wonderfully compered by Charu Sharma. Cheering the winners were Sunil Gavaskar and Harbhajan Singh,who was felicitated for scalping 300 wickets in test matches.

Bummer Although the Indians were a happy lot when it came to individual awards,Australia,that won the Best Team Award,had the last laugh.
