The state government on Friday told the Bombay High Court that it has rejected a proposal from the traffic police to allocate 50 per cent of funds collected from traffic violations for the department.

The state government on Friday told the Bombay High Court that it has rejected a proposal from the traffic police to allocate 50 per cent of funds collected from traffic violations for the department.

The statement was made by government pleader D N Nalawade in response to a public interest litigation filed by the Bombay Bar Association seeking court directives to ensure strict implementation of traffic regulations.
