Abhijeet Kymar,a PR Executive, commutes between Bandra and Nariman Point.

How are city motorists warming up to the Bandra-Worli Sea Link? Many will try it and see if it helps, they tell Vinamrata Borwankar

Abhijeet Kymar,a PR Executive, commutes between Bandra and Nariman Point. His current travelling time is around 1 hour 30 minutes in the morning and over 2 hours in the evening.

I am going to try and see how much will it benefit. Since the traffic will be divided, traveling on the current route will also become easier. The kind of time one will save will be remarkable and hence the pricing of the toll is justified. I am hoping that traveling may get a little convenient with the sea link in place.

Deena Mehta, former president of the Bombay Stock Exchange. Commutes between her residence at Grant Road and her office in Andheri. Her current travelling time is 1 hour 10 minutes to 2 hours.

For the novelty of it (sea link),I will definitely use it for a few days, depending on how much time and fuel I actually save. I really want to avoid the 38 signals that I pass on my route every day which increase my traveling time.

Dolly Shah, architect. drives from South Mumbai to her office in Bandra. Current travelling time: approximately 1 hour 10 minutes.

I will surely be using the sea link because it will reduce a lot of traveling time and fuel too. Since a lot of money has been put in the construction of the bridge,I wouldn’t mind contributing towards it. Hopefully the toll will reduce later and it will be more economical.

Arif Malik, media professional, travels between Mira Road and Nariman Point. Current travelling time: approximately 1 hour 15 minutes to the office and over 2 hours back home.

I plan to check it out to see if it benefits but with the speed limits being reduced to 50 kmph, there is all possibility of a traffic jam on the sea link. Also, the proposed monthly toll pass is expensive for people travelling just 5 days a week. However, the traffic will get divided and so congestion might ease on the current route too. I really hope that the sea link is a success.

Tommy Joseph,Regional Manager with HCL Infosystems Ltd,drives from his house in Powai to work place in Worli everyday. His current travelling time: approximately 1 hour 10 mins.

I am not very sure whether the Rs 50 toll will be worth it. I will try it initially to check how much time and fuel is saved before using it everyday.
