MUMBAI Police investigating the murder of a Congress party worker in Ghatkopar arrested two people from the area Tuesday. The arrested accused, Unmesh alias Thakur Ashok Singh (33) and Jeetendra, alias Bandish, Mishra (29), are affiliated to the youth wing of the BJP, said police. They had been detained Monday. During the course of investigation, the police have pieced together the series of events that led to the murder of Manoj Dubey (45) in Asalpha area of Ghatkopar on Sunday night.

Inspector Sunil Mane from Saki Naka police station said: “We have arrested two men for the murder of Dubey. They were produced in court that remanded them in police custody for seven days. We are interrogating them to find out if anyone else was involved in the murder. The arrested duo are affiliated to the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM).”
