What goes into the making of a studio album and the ensuing concert tour? How does one of the country’s biggest and most influential independent bands write, record and manage material that might one day have fans baying for more? To give their fans and foes an insight into this question,Pentagram is launching the second season of their online show,PentaTV,on their website. The first season set the ball rolling by focussing on bringing out the individual personalities of each of the band members, and recording their live gigs and studio sessions; the second season is being launched in time for the release of their highly-anticipated fourth studio album,Bloodywood. It will therefore include a lot of footage that documents the making of the album and will also include footage from the five-city Jim Beam tour for Bloodywood that the band begins tonight, starting from the Hard Rock Cafe in Mumbai. Those who miss the live concerts can catch them on PentaTV. This first step by an Indian band to document its journey is valuable not just to fans, but also for anyone interested in understanding the development of the Indian independent music industry. EFS
