Focus on the Buddha

A film festival that aims to showcase movies related to the life,times and principles of the Buddha will be held in Pune from June 1-3. The festival titled ‘The Inner Path’ is conceptualised by Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema,the Devki Foundation in association with the National Film Archive of India and the Pune International Centre. It will show 10 movies,including Light of Asia (1926) andTrishagni (1988). The schedule also includes screening of Travellers and Magicians (Bhutan) by Khyentse Norbu,A Buddha (Argentina) by Diego Rafecas,Japanese film Shugendu Now by Jean-Marc Abela and Mark Patrick Mc Guire. A Sri-Lankan film,Introspection and the Korean Come,Come,Come Upwards will also be shown.
