The restrictions will be effective from 7 am to midnight on all three concert days (Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday), as per Tirupati Kakade, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Traffic.
“With an estimated 45,000-48,000 attendees expected daily, the advisory aims to ensure smooth traffic flow, effective parking management and public safety,” said Pankaj Dahane, DCP, Navi Mumbai Zone-1.
According to DCP Dahane, 450 police personnel, including 70 officers, have been deployed in and around the concert venue. Additionally, to ensure smooth traffic management, another 450 police personnel, along with 25 officers, have been stationed at key locations in the vicinity.
As part of the curbs, heavy and goods-carrying vehicles will not be allowed to enter, travel or park on roads under the Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate’s jurisdiction.
Roads near the stadium, including LP Bridge Signal, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk, Shani Mandir Arch, and Bhimashankar Chowk, will remain closed during the restricted hours.
Exemptions include vehicles carrying essential goods, emergency services like fire brigades and ambulances, and government vehicles. Additionally, no parking will be allowed for heavy vehicles anywhere within the restricted zone.
To manage traffic flow and reduce congestion, Thane authorities have imposed entry restrictions for heavy vehicles at several key points.
