Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan will meet nearly 50 delegates from various countries on the sidelines of the India Economic Summit,to be held in Mumbai from Saturday. Most of these delegates,industry ministers and industrialists,are interested in automobile and IT industries. Besides attending the summit,Chavan will also interact individually with them.
Officials said Chavan would highlight the advantages of the state like skilled manpower,urbanised areas and largely peaceful regime to investors. They said the Chief Minister would try to attract investment in the state by discussing the aspects of the new industrial policy with these delegates. The policy is likely to extend benefits of mega-projects policy likes concessions on land to the government sector as well as private sector.
The chief ministers of other states are also expected to attend the summit.
