Rash driving: John Abraham moves court for more evidence
In an attempt to steer clear of the charges he was found guilty of in a case of rash and negligent driving,Bollywood actor John Abraham has moved an application to call for additional evidence. The Bandra Metropolitan Magistrates Court had sentenced Abraham to 15 days simple imprisonment on October 14 last year,besides granting him bail immediately after. The actor has now moved the Sessions Court,terming the trial court judgment as misconstrued and claiming that he was not guilty.

In the wake of the 13/7 serial blasts,the entire Chowpaty Beach will be under closed circuit television (CCTV) camera surveillance during the Ganpati immersions this year. The Mumbai police have installed eight high-resolution CCTV cameras as part of security arrangements for the immersions.
Boy threatens juniors with syringe,detained
Panic spread in a Dadar school when a Class XII student threatened two class V students with a syringe on Wednesday,and also allegedly injected two juniors. Bhoiwada police have detained the boy until the medical reports of the two juniors are received. Police said the two juniors had claimed that they were in the playground during the recess when the Class XII boy and his classmate held their legs and allegedly injected them. The police,however,have not registered a case yet,as the detained student has claimed that the syringe did not have a needle and that he was only scaring the juniors.
