Joyful Notes
When Deepika Padukone and Neil Nitin Mukesh appeared on Star Plus’s Chhote Ustaad- Do Deshon ki Ek Awaaz, the musical battle between the young contestants turned into a joy-ride. The duo,who were on the show to promote their latest release,Lafangey Parindey, divided the children into teams and led their respective groups from the front. What followed was a friendly tug-of-war between the two. While the contestants’ stellar performances remained central, pranks and games coupled with song dedications to Deepika and Neil, lightened up the competitive air. But the show was stolen by Neil’s pleasant vocals which stunned the judges.

High on talent
It is heart warming to watch ordinary people rise up to achieve extraordinary dreams. 25-year-old Dipti Sharma is one such person. She will soon be seen singing her way to India’s Got Talent 2. But this journey to fame has not come easy for the Gujarati girl. Dipti found her calling in music at a tender age,and even though she had been educated in Gujarati medium, she persevered and went to study western vocals at the London School of Music. The language barrier was a challenge for her,but her passion for music saw her through the tough times. And,now it seems she is on her way to winning Indian hearts, because when she sang Whitney Houston’s I will always love you,the judges couldn’t help but let their jaws drop.

Creative bent
Hina Khan, who plays the role of Akshara, the lead in Star Plus’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is not just a perfect TV bahu, but also a bundle of creativity. During the shoot of a particular scene,in which Naitik expects Sneha to bring some jewellery designs for an upcoming wedding, the designs do not reach in time. So Akshara comes to the rescue and sketches out the designs herself. Sources reveal that these designs were actually made by Hina, since no artist was available to make the designs. The designs came out so well that the entire cast and crew was stunned by her art. Now that’s a hidden talent.

Winds of change
COLORS’ Na Aana Iss Des Laado is all set to surprise its viewers with a new twist. Veerpur’s Ammaji will soon be defeated by her own daughter-in-law,Sia in the on-going elections for the position of ‘Mukhiya’. While Ammaji will pull all her strings to retain the powerful position; Sia will bag the highest number of votes due to her confidence and honesty. May the best woman win.
