Builder held in cheating case

A developer was arrested by the D N Nagar Police on Thursday for allegedly cheating a person who had sold him his land on S V Road in Andheri.

A developer was arrested by the D N Nagar Police on Thursday for allegedly cheating a person who had sold him his land on S V Road in Andheri (West). The accused,Abdul Latif (40) of Prime Developers,was arrested by the police in connection with a criminal breach of trust case. The police said Latif had purchased a piece of land from a person around five years ago,and had promised him an apartment in the structure he would construct. “He told the person that he would give him a house in the new structure. The structure was constructed,but the person who sold him the land was not given the apartment promised,” said an officer.
