Bail for 2 held for hurting religious sentiments

After the two got bail,Advocate Mumbin Solkar who provided them legal advice said,“The two were charged under section 295 (a) of the Indian Penal Code,related to hurting sentiments of certain religion.

Accordingly since the accused had distributed the pamphlets in Agripada and Dongri areas two cases came to be registered against them.

Since there was nothing else to recover from them except the pamphlets,they stood a chance of getting bail,which they did,” he said.

The two youths are residents of Nagpada and had allegedly distributed the pamphlets on their own. The police are investigating further.
