Air India added 218 runs in the morning session. Southpaw Hrishikesh Kanitkar,who was unbeaten on 99 on first day went on score 134 in 145 balls with the help of two sixes and 11 hits to the ropes. He added 115 runs for the eighth wicket with Mooneep Mangela,who scored 52 runs.

Medium pacer Wilkin Mota (3-97),left-arm spinner Vishal Dabholkar (3-142) and off spinner Ramesh Powar (3-152) were main wicket takers for Tata,who used as many as nine bowlers.

Bank of India down Mumbai Tigers

Bank of India put up a solid fighting display to eke out a narrow 3-2 win over Mumbai Tigers in a well-contested Super Division encounter of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2012-13,at the St. Xavier’s ground,Parel on Tuesday. Shahdab Khan,Jitendra Thakur and Abhishek Patkar,all scored a goal each to help Bank of India snatch a win and earn the full three points. Mumbai Tigers got their goals through Varendar Singh and Narain Mullik.

In another match of the same division,Fr. Agnel,Vashi enjoyed a good outing as they cruised to a comfortable 3-1 win against Income Tax. Kingsley D netted a brace,while Viren Jadhav one for the winners,while Income Tax pulled one back through Camillio Narohna.
