A sessions court on Friday granted a 72-hour interim relief to singer Adnan Sami after his anticipatory bail plea was rejected in a domestic violence case initiated by his wife Sabah Galadari. Considering two-day long weekend,Sessions Judge C A Jadhav granted an interim relief to appeal before the High Court. We will move the Bombay High court on Monday challenging the order, said Samis Advocate Vibhav Krishna.
Krishna had earlier argued in the court that it was only a matrimonial dispute in which Sabah had exaggerated her claims and complaints. Sabah had lodged a complaint of cheating and cruelty at Oshiwara police station against Sami and his parents.
Sami,who has been involved in a brawl with his wife Sabah for over four months,had approached the sessions court seeking relief. While Samis plea was rejected,his 67-year-old father Arshad Khan he is in coma and mother Naureen (62) have been granted bail on medical grounds.
Sami in his application had alleged that Saba was ailing with severe neurological and psychological problems and succumbed to the habit of making false allegations to attract attention.
