99-year-old robbed at knife-point

A 99-year-old Santacruz resident was robbed at knife-point on Monday evening by three unknown persons.

A 99-year-old Santacruz resident was robbed at knife-point on Monday evening by three unknown persons. The trio barged into the residence of Abdul Kadar Noor Mohammed Moghul and managed to flee with two silver coins and cash. According to Santacruz police,the incident took place between 5 and 6 pm,when Moghul was alone at his residence on Juhu Tara road. The trio took away two silver coins of 10 grams each and some cash from the house. They also forced Moghul to sign three cheques,one of them valued at Rs 60,000,the police said. The police have recorded Moghul’s statement and are tracing the three robbers. “Moghul doesn’t seem to know any of the three. However,we suspect the trio kept a an eye on Moghul as they entered and left the house without being noticed by anyone,” said a police officer from the Santacruz police station.
