2 held for molestation,assault

After being allegedly abused by a woman who he tried to molest,a 30-year-old drug addict with his two accomplices entered her Shivaji Nagar residence and assaulted her brother and mother

After being allegedly abused by a woman who he tried to molest,a 30-year-old drug addict with his two accomplices entered her Shivaji Nagar residence and assaulted her brother and mother on Tuesday.

Shivaji Nagar police said the woman was walking towards her house around 1 am on Tuesday,when Paapa Kaaliya intercepted her way. He allegedly approached her and touched her in an inappropriate manner and tried to kiss her. The victim abused him and ran away.

Paapa has misbehaved with the victim in the past as well. She approached the police constables patrolling the area at night and complained about the accused, an officer said. An hour later,Paapa and his two accomplices barged inside the victims house. They assaulted her mother and brother. The woman slipped out of the house during the scuffle and raised an alarm but the three ran away. The residents then informed the police,an officer said.

We have arrested Paapa and one of his accomplice,Shafiq Kaaliya (28),while the other identified as Pervez,is absconding, senior inspector R Agarwal said.
