Yumunanagar snub Chandigarh eves

FormidableYumunanagar women team inflicted a humiliating defeat of 205 runs on lackluster Chandigarh side in the Haryana inter-district cricket tournament during a match held at GMSSS-19 in Chandigarh on Thursday.

Batting first,Yamunanagar plundered a huge total of 235 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 40 overs. Stylish Yamunanagar opener Shashi Bala smashed 63 runs in 56 balls. Chandigarh bowlers bowled wayward and conceded too many extras. Her innings included five boundaries. Apart from her,Manshi and Hemlata chipped in with 25 and 19 respectively. Chandigarh skipper Anit was the pick of bowlers scalping three wickets giving away 37 runs. In reply,Chandigarh batting line-up was completely destroyed by the opposition bowlers. Chandigarh were bundled out for mere 30 runs in just 18 overs. Tanya (11) was the only batswoman who could reach double-figure score. Nishu and Prerna picked up three wickets each for the visitors. Chandigarh will take on Ambala in their next game to be played on June 26 at the same ground.
