Workshop on school education

The workshop,a first of its kind in Ludhiana,was inaugurated today among the participants at BCM Arya School,Ludhiana.

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII),Northern Region,in collaboration with CII Institute of Quality,Bangalore,organised a two-day workshop on Education Excellence for School Leadership Team. The workshop,a first of its kind in Ludhiana,was inaugurated today among the participants at BCM Arya School,Ludhiana. It will conclude tomorrow.

The workshop started on a traditional note with formal lamp lightning ceremony. Paramjit Kaur,Principal of the host school BCM Arya Sr Sec School mentioned that all leaders of education should keep on upgrading and improving quality by integrating good practices to achieve excellence. She thanked CII to come forward and to organise this workshop at her school.

Sandeep Riat,Chairperson Zonal Council Ludhiana in her address mentioned that apart from being an association of industries offering training and consultancy in Manufacturing Excellence,CII has diversified into areas such as Energy Management,Human Resources Development,Governance and Health and Education. Over the years,CII has brought Education into greater focus and has adopted it as one of the thrust areas for the countrys growth.

She further mentioned that at regional level CII has already covered around 100 schools and intends to take this workshop across all the states in Northern Region so that maximum institutions benefit. CII has also initiated talks with Punjab Govt. for implementation of Quality Standards in Punjab state government schools.
