Two fires in one night sent shock waves amongst the residents of Abdullapur basti who spent a good part of Saturday night dousing flames. The first fire was reported from a hosiery unit which,as per the residents,broke out about 2.30 at night. By the time the fire brigade came,hosiery yarn,material and imported machines worth crores were destroyed. The owner of the unit,Randhir Singh,claims the fire broke out due to short circuit.
A few moments later,another fire was reported from the Bhatia Cable network in the same area. Apart from damaging the cable equipment,the fire spread to the Munjal Traders,a shop situated behind this cable network office. Short circuit is said to be the reason behind the fire here too.
