Theft case solved; 1 held,booty seized

Police on Sunday nabbed a thief in the recent looting incident in Model Town Extension and also recovered jewellery worth Rs 4.6 lakh and Rs 76,000 in cash.

As per a complaint,on April 5,a theft happened in the house of Manish Gupta who was about to catch a flight for Hongkong from New Delhi.

After doing investigation,police arrested Harnek Singh,the driver of Gupta,who had been working at his house for more than eight years.

According to Deputy Police Commissioner Ashish Chaudhary,Harnek along with his brother Kamlesh had stolen everything from the almirah of the room when the family had gone to hotel Sagar Ratna for dinner and Gupta was away on a business tour. Kamlesh is yet to be arrested.
