SIFT students showcase their creations

Students of Sportking Institute of Fashion Technology showcased their creations at a fashion show ‘Glam & Glitter’ organised in the city today.

Students of Sportking Institute of Fashion Technology (SIFT) showcased their creations at a fashion show ‘Glam & Glitter’ organised in the city today. Deputy Commissioner Vikas Garg was the chief guest on this occasion.

The function evoked a huge response from the audience amid blaring music,scintillating lights and colours as models walked the ramp in the garments designed by the passing out students of SIFT. The show was anchored by the renowned anchor,Pragya Tiwari.

Models Saryu,Himani and Ankita who have participated in many international fashion appreciated the works of the students. “Some of the garments were truly of international standards,” they gushed.

No single theme was given to the students who created design sequences using their own imagination. Youngistan,Pirates,Estilo,Money,Glitzy,Biker’s Dome Ravvisant Rossane and Yabunauto were some of the themes that showed the way knitted garments could be used to depict imagination.

As the show coincided with the Knit and Wears Exhibition-cum-Buyer Seller meet,a lot of retailers from far off places attended the show. According to them,the collection of all knitwear designers were of high class.

The works of the students presented a wide range of moods from word on street to Aafreen,from Antiquity of Rajasthan to stripes of the track,from Mehfil-e-Sama to Chand-ki-Bidai,from brush strokes to multiple personality,as one after the other these collections held the audience spell-bound.

Deputy commissioner Vikas Garg gave away the awards to the winners.
