‘RTI a revolutionary step’

Ludhiana MP and national spokesperson of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) Manish Tewari today said the Right To Information law passed by the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance government was a revolutionary step in strengthening the democracy.

Addressing a function organized by the Ludhiana District Bar Association (DBA) here today,Tewari pointed out the RTI had revolutionized the functioning of the democracy and made the things look more transparent. He maintained that with the RTI now every citizen of the country has a right to know everything as what is happening behind the corridors of power.
