Re-evaluation queries? Opt for ‘Tatkal’

Re-evaluation queries at the Panjab University will now be disposed of speedily — thanks to the ‘Tatkal’ system,which will enable a student get his result within 10 days of filing the request. Those who will benefit the most from this system include outstation students,who earlier had to make rounds of the city to find out their results.

A brainchild of Vice-Chancellor Professor R C Sobti,the system will be effective from the coming academic session onwards and can be availed of after paying a nominal fee. A committee has already been constituted to look into the proposal and will also decide on the fee to charged for the service. Earlier,students had to file for revaluation within 10 days of the result being declared and took long to come through. This affected many as those applying for a course could not produce their result on time.

The university also plans to extend this facility to the issuance of migration certificates,which is sent through post at present.
