Powercom engineers stage protest

In the view of the non-fulfilment of the assurances given by Chief Minister at the time of unbundling of the PSEB,the engineers of Central Zone staged a protest on Friday on the call of the PSEB Engineers’ Association. The engineers said they were assured at the meeting held with the

Association on April 5,2010,before the restructuring of the PSEB that immediately after a formal decision of the cabinet on the unbundling,that a tripartite agreement shall be signed to protect the service/working conditions as well to maintain existing differential of pay scales of the PSEB engineers vis-à-vis their counterparts in the Punjab government.

Even Rs 250 crore has also not been added in the PF account of employees to safeguard their interests,added engineers.
