The meeting of the Punjab Agricultural University students,who are protesting against the suspension of three students for allegedly sleeping in the open,with the authorities ended on a dead note on Tuesday late evening.
While the authorities stuck to their point of getting a written apology from the three students admitting that they were drunk,the trio refused to give it as they claimed that they were not drunk and varsity has no proof.
Till filing of this report,both boys and girls from PAU hostels were sitting on floor in front of Thapar Hall protesting against the Vice-Chancellors decision.
Karanvir,vice-president of PAU Students Union,said,We were told by the authorities to leave the meeting after we refused to accept that students were drunk. The protest will continue.
Earlier in the day,the students took out a rally raising slogans against the V-C for the 13th consecutive day and blocked gate number 2 of the varsity. They also took out a rally on the Ferozepur road.
