Monsoon Sizzle

When it comes to digging into food when it pours outside,most of us would like to dig into piping hot pakoras and samosas. At the same time,there are many of us who relish a more sizzling concoction. Keeping the latter in mind,Mohali-based restaurant ‘Garam Masala’ tucked away in Hotel Jade Plaza in Phase 3B2 has rolled out a special sizzler food festival. “The weather is perfect for sizzlers and we have had patrons asking us to plan one out,” informed restaurant manager IP Singh as he passed on the two special menus that make the most of Continental sizzlers with a few Chinese options as well. Put together by Chef Subhash,the non-vegetarian lineup offers the likes of ‘Roasted Chicken’,‘Chicken Stroganoff’,‘Red Hot Chicken’ and more. “All the sizzlers come on a bed of rice and the USP are the sauces,” mentioned the Chef who has put together healthy variations doing away with oily fare. “I also recommend Hungarian Chicken that brings in diced chicken served in cream sauce spiked with paprika and served with pasta as well as the Grilled Fish Lemon,” explained the Chef. The line-up includes ‘Chicken Shaslik’,‘Chicken Garlic Steak; and ‘Sizzling Fire Chicken’. “Unlike most places where vegetarian fare is limited,we have specially kept umpteen options in our menu,” pointed out the restaurant manager as we noticed the likes of ‘Mushroom Paprika’,‘Mixed Vegetable Paprika’,‘Sizzling Veggies in Garlic’ and more. As far as prices go,the non-vegetarian sizzlers are priced between Rs 215 and Rs 255 while the vegetarian menu is priced between Rs 180 and Rs 190. “Also we have a few interesting offers to choose from,” said Singh listing out the ‘2+1’ offer where you pay for two sizzlers and get the third free. “One can also pay Rs 750 for two non-vegetarian and two vegetarian sizzlers that come with complementary colas,” he added. There are cocktails and mocktails on offer as well.

The sizzler festival is on till August 9.
