The sudden of death of pop singer Michael Jackson sent the fans of pop music icon,who breathed his last on Thursday in a Los Angles hospital,into shock as the word of his demise spread here this morning. Fans said the news of death came as a shock to them and was unbelievable. He was just 50 and not so old. It was therefore not believable initially when I first heard about it from a friend, said a fan of the singing sensation of the 80s. Singers Tina and Andrea from Phillipines who are part of the band which performs daily at Hotel Park Plaza said the death was sudden and shocking. It upset me when I heard about his death. He was a great singer with a very good voice. He was really gifted and therefore his success was something that was a proof of his talent, said Tina. Andrea,who has been his fan,said she would always remember him for Billy Jeans and Thriller tracks. He was a sensation and a heart-throb of so many people in the world, she exclaimed. He rose to glory so early in his life and so popular was he in 80s that anybody who has been his fan and attended his concerts would tell you the kind of energy he had, she adds. Other fans of the singer said he would be remembered as somebody who brought change into the music in the world. Happy who runs a dance academy in the city held a function to pay tribute to the King of Pop. We are paying tribute to the singer who gave so much to us in music to remember him always, Happy said about the singer whose last decade of his life was shrouded in scandals and controversies,specially a case of child molestation. The singer will also be remembered for his foot-tapping and break-dance moves,something that was unique about him and now emulated by many, he said. The singer whose popularity dwindled in the last few years of his life after having witnessed an all time high popularity in the 80s was reportedly preparing for a comeback concert in London.
