Auto parts makers hike product rates

The Federation of Auto Parts Manufacturers Association has decided to increase 10 to 12 per cent rates of their products with immediate effect. The decision was taken in the meeting held at the residence of FAPMA Chairman Subash Bajaj. “Steep rise in steel prices have forced us to increase the rates of products,” said Bajaj.

‘Verify progress of development work’

In a review meeting of development works,Deputy Commissioner Rahul Tiwari asked sub-divisional magistrates to conduct physical verification of the progress of the projects in villages.

PAU to hold research meet on kharif crops

Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) will hold a research and extension specialists workshop on kharif crops between February 14 to 15 in Pal Auditorium. Director of Extension Education,Dr M S Gill,said the workshop will be inaugurated by PAU Vice-Chancellor Dr Manjit Singh Kang. Agricultural officers and field functionaries from the state Department of Agriculture and extension specialists of PAU working at Krishi Vigyan Kendras will participate in the workshop.

Boparai nominated to PAU finance panel

The Board of Management of Punjab Agricultural University,in a meeting on January 12,has renominated Dr Baldev Singh Boparai — a Board member — as a non-official member of the Finance Committee with effect from March 20 for a year.
