GADVASU prof attends international conference

Dr Swaran Singh Randhawa,Associate Professor of the Department of Clinical Veterinary Medicine at the Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University attended the 16th international symposium on “Lameness in Ruminants” held at Rotorua in New Zealand.

Dr Swaran Singh Randhawa,Associate Professor of the Department of Clinical Veterinary Medicine at the Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University attended the 16th international symposium on “Lameness in Ruminants” held at Rotorua in New Zealand.

He presented two oral papers and one poster at the conference. The coauthors in his research papers were by U N Zahid,S S Randhawa,K Dua,R S Grewal,M Javed,P Malhotra,M L Mehra and S A Hussain. Bovine Lameness is a disorder of significant economic importance in Punjab’s dairy cattle field.

An expert on the issue,Randhawa had presented his work at the international symposium of Lameness in Ruminants in Finland in 2008. His work was also declared best at the international symposium of Indian Society of Veterinary Medicine at Chennai in 2009.
