Farmers taught farming techniques

A 12-day training course for the farmers from Dawat Foods Limited,Bhopal began at the Kairon Kisan Ghar on the PAU campus on Tuesday.

A 12-day training course for the farmers from Dawat Foods Limited,Bhopal (MP),began at the Kairon Kisan Ghar on the PAU campus on Tuesday.

Dr DS Dhillon,officiating director of Extension Education,who inaugurated the course said that PAU attracted farmers and other visitors from across the country during various training programmes.

The course in which 35 trainees are participating will continue till September 5.The course coordinator,Dr TS Riar said that the participating farmers would be imparted know-how about agricultural research,production,marketing,processing etc and would be made to visit different areas in the PAU and also to Sangrur and Gurdaspur districts.

Dr VK Bhambota,Incharge,Training Centre,said that PAU had organised more than 25 courses for farmers from different states.
