Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan has steamlined the examination system in the state for junior classes. According to sources,From now onwards,all the studnets from class first to fourth studying in government primary schools will get same type of question papers in trimester exams.
A government school teacher said,The examination for the first trimester are going to start on September 22 and will end on September 26. The Director General,Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan,has directed us to make evaluation by September 29 and keep a proper record of these in a separate register.
With this decision,the teachers of the government schools have heaved a sigh of relief. The teachers now will have enough time at their disposal to carry out other educational works. Earlier,it was a very time consuming process as first,the teachers used to collect Rs 4 to 5 from each child for publishing these question papers. Then they either prepared question papers and got them published or sometimes even bought readymade question-papers. All this used to consume three to four days. But now things have become easier, said a government school headmistress,requesting anonymity,
