Condemning the Punjab School Education Boards (PSEB) decision to create examination centres on the ground floor,all the members of the Association of PSEB-Affiliated Schools have requested the Chairman of the Punjab School Education Board to reconsider the decision.
The association has also requested to implement the previous policy of the exam centre.
The decision was taken in a general meeting of the members of the Association of the Punjab School Education Board,Affiliated Schools,Punjab,held under the Presidentship of Rajinder Sharma.
It has also been decided by all the members to meet the Punjab Chief Minister and Education Minister to give a solution to the problem.
Rajinder Sharma said,All the exam centres are approved by the board authorities at the time of inspection. The existing exam centres were created after getting approved by constituted committees formed by the board. The DEOs were the members of the inspection committees. School buildings were constructed keeping in view that there would be separate exam centres. Now,it is impossible to demolish the school buildings.
I M Dutta,Vice-President,N K Bangia and others representatives from the various districts said,The cities are thickly populated and there is lot of disturbance due the traffic,pollution and other things. So,the students will not concentrate on their paper if the centre is shifted to the ground floor. It will prove to be a curse for the innocent students.
