DC issues warning to printing press owners

Strict action will be taken against them if they continue doing the same. Notices have already been sent to two printing press owners by the district electoral officer.

He stated that FIR will be registered against the guilty. Forms A and B need to be given to the DEO and RO of the area before doing any work.

This includes the information regarding the nature of work being printed by the printing press owners and the money being charged by them. This can help the DEO add expenditure in the candidate’s account,Tiwari pointed out.

He added,“We have already issued notices to Tushar printers and Patal printers for not following the norms. They had printed the poll material of Hira Singh Gabria and Simarjeet Singh Bains.”

Tiwari said that it seems that either the printers are unaware or they are doing this intentionally. Poll material of many other candidates has also been found printed by the candidates without filling any forms.

Sources revealed that hardly any printers are submitting the form A and B with the DEO and RO which has made them issue this public notice.

Sources also added that many candidates are getting the poll material printed from remote places and even many others had got the material printed much before the implementation of code of conduct,thinking that they will be given the party ticket. So now they are not going to the printing press owners to get them re-corrected.
