Coolex – 2009,Confederation of Indian Industrys exposition on air conditioning and refrigeration commenced on Friday at Hotel Le Baron here. It will continue till May 4.

This is for the first time that Coolex – 2009 has come to the city to represent its products.During the four-day long exposition will be displayed a wide range of the latest products in refrigeration and air-conditioning,with varied cooling solutions to counter the soaring mercury levels.

Voltas is the event sponsor of this edition of Coolex. They have introduced a whole new range of 5 star-rated air conditioners. Samsung is all lined up with its new range of 16-split and 8 window AC models to beat the heat this summer. Also showcased is a whole range of fresh tech Ultima refrigerators. Other companies participating this year includes Samsung,Onida,Carrier,Whirlpool,Electrolux,Kelvinator,Kenstar,Fedders Lloyd,Daikin Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Panasonic.

Maj CS Bachhar,Director and Head,Trade Fairs,CII,said that he was expecting the expo to do well as Ludhiana was an industrial hub and was known for its purchasing power.
