A two-day workshop on patient safety was organised for senior nursing staff of Dayanand Medical College and Hospital by College of Nursing and Safety Management and Sentinel Event Committee.

Workshop for nurses begins

A two-day workshop on patient safety was organised on Wednesday for senior nursing staff of Dayanand Medical College and Hospital by College of Nursing and Safety Management and Sentinel Event Committee. Discussion was held on ensuring patient safety in invasive procedures and responsibility of nursing personnel in pretext of legal and ethical issues concerning patient care. About100 nurses participated in the workshop.

Stolen cars recovered

Police recovered two stolen cars from a youth in Ludhiana on Wednesday. The SHO of Sarabha Nagar police station,Dharmpal,said the youth was arrested during a routine check at a roadside police post.

PAU strike enters Day 14

The hunger strike by the students of PAU entered fourteenth day on Wednesday. Various eminent personalities like Dr Balwinder Singh,chief of Soil Conservation Officers’ Association met the students and lamented that almost every department in the state was suffering from scarcity of staff and despite it,the government has not been taking suitable actions.
