At present there are some 67 services covered under this Act which makes it mandatory for officials that these services are provided to the people in a set time period. This Act has helped us cut down on corruption to a large extent and also bring about transparency in the working of government departments. We have recommended to the state government that some more services should be brought under this Act for the convenience of the general public, added Aggarwal.
