BVM emerges winner in Limca quiz contest

BVM Senior Secondary School,Kitchlu Nagar,today won the Ludhiana city finals of Limca Book of Records Quiz - 2009 held at BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School,Ludhiana.

BVM Senior Secondary School,Kitchlu Nagar,today won the Ludhiana city finals of Limca Book of Records Quiz – 2009 held at BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School,Ludhiana.

The young geniuses from the city school would now compete with the winners from 74 other schools in the semi-finals. Not far behind,Sacred Heart Covent School and KVM School,Civil Lines emerged as 1st and 2nd runners up respectively,during the Ludhiana city final of the National Quiz.

Around 288 students from 48 schools participated from Ludhiana out of which 6 schools competed in the city final – B.C.M. Arya Model Sr. Secondary School; B.V.M. Senior Secondary School,Kitchlu Nagar; K.V.M School,Civil Lines; B.C.M. School; St. Thomas Senior Secondary School and Sacred Heart Convent School.

Also present at the quiz championship were LBR Holders – Jasmine Jawanda record holder for Longest Eye lashes and Rakesh Kumar – lifts weights with ear. D.P. Singh,Sr. Vice President from Ludhiana Beverages Pvt Ltd,(Franchise partner of Coca-Cola India) along with the Limca Book of Records holders,presented the award to the winners of Ludhiana city finals.

According to DP Singh,“LBR Quiz is in continuation of Coca-Cola India’s vision to promote knowledge and awareness amongst the young minds of the country. And what better way to ignite young minds than to make them all a part of a quiz. We received an over whelming response to Limca Book of Records Quiz last year. This year we are proud to take this initiative to the next level by organizing it in over 3000 schools across 75 cities.”
