Blood donation camp

The Youth Red Cross Society,NSS and NCC Wing of Guru Nanak Girls College,Model Town,organised a blood donation camp on Tuesday. 77 students and staff donated blood on the occasion. It was held in collaboration with the Department of Transfusion Medicine,DMCH. Principal Dr Charanjit Mahal inaugurated the camp and Commanding Officer Lt Col Subash Sehgal was the chief guest. Dr. Amarjit Kaur,Head of the Department of Transfusion Medicine,DMCH,said the major concern these days is to arrange adequate leuco-reduced blood for thalassaemic children.
