The three-day 16th National Congress of Andrology and Reproductive Medicine (Androcon-2011) organised under the auspices of Society of Andrology,India was formally inaugurated today at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital. Dr Tritto Giuseppe from Italy, an internationally well known Uro-Andrologist with specific expertise in genital reconstructive surgery and microsurgery also participated. The scientific sessions held on the first day of the conference included lectures on stem cell therapy,cloning,frontiers of Andrology,semen analysis and effects of drugs on semen by internationally-acclaimed faculty. During the conference,the participating delegates got to know about various physiological aspects and options of surgical treatment available for male sexual disorders,which are a major cause of mental and physical trauma to the affected patients. A session on stem cell was held with special reference to the use of amphical stem cell and future aspect of stems cell therapy in various diseases. The audience were also given an overview of cloning use of latest technique nano particles in reproductive medicine.
