Akalgarh market gets time till Monday to remove encroachments

The MC tehbazari team once again returned empty handed from the Akalgarh market on Friday.

The MC tehbazari team once again returned empty handed from the Akalgarh market on Friday. The market association was given two days’ time for removing the temporary and permanent encroachments. However,not a single encroachment had been removed when the team reached the spot on Friday.

The shopkeepers were seen hiding their wares which were displayed outside.

Now,the market has been given time till Monday to start demolishing the structures on their own or the MC team will raze the permanent encroachments and confiscate the products displayed outside.

The team also visited the MC parking site near the Mata Rani Chowk today where the private contractor was charging more than the fixed rates. The contractor allegedly changed the rate list as soon as the team arrived.
