17 LPG cylinders seized

A total of 17 LPG cylinders were seized in a raid conducted by Prince Singh,senior sales officer of Hindustan Petroleum,here yesterday in coordination with the district supply officer,Sajan Singh. Meant for domestic use,the seized cylinders were being used for commercial/ industrial purpose.

According to sources,as many as 10 cylinders of Indane were seized from tea stalls,dhabas and hotels near Pakhowal Road,and 2 cylinders of Indane Blue Books from two different tea stalls,5 of BPCL Blue Books from a customer. The seized cylinders were taken to DFSC office Sarabanagar,and sent to HPCL,LPG Plant,Ludhiana COD for further verification.

The district manager,Sales,Gupta,IOCL was also informed about the raid,following which he also immediately witnessed the blue books and cylinders confiscated at DFSC Office. 02 connections of IOCL were immediately advised for “Stop Supply” till further verification. ASM Girish Midha,BPCL,was also informed about the raid and consumer no./blue book seized were intimated.
