Uttar Pradesh Chief (Express File Photo) The Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday said that it has speeded up efforts for allotment of plots for industrial projects on a large scale and is going to organise a mega e-auction on Thursday.
Officials said that the auction by the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Department (UPSIDA) is being done as part of the “larger goal of making the state a $1 trillion economy”.
The online auction is scheduled to be held from 10 am for the auction of industrial plots in Lucknow, Kanpur, Trans-Delhi Signature City (Ghaziabad), Ayodhya, Agra, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Bareilly, Gorakhpur and Aligarh.
A government spokesperson said that a total of 154 industrial plots, 3 group housing, a nursing home, a weighing bridge, 8 plots for warehousing and 10 rented halls in “flatted factory” will be sold during the e-auction.
The UPSIDA said the highest base prices have been kept for industrial plots in Trans-Delhi Signature City, Ayodhya, Lucknow, Kanpur, Jhansi and Agra, many of which are worth crores of rupees.
